What is the Affordable Connectivity Program?
Passed within the $1.4 Trillon Infrastructure bill, the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a U.S. government program run by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) program to help low-income households pay for internet service and connected devices like a laptop or tablet.
You are likely eligible if your household’s income is below 200% of the Federal Poverty Line, or if you or someone you live with currently receives a government benefit like SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, WIC, Pell Grant, or Free and Reduced-Price Lunch.
Meet the Team
Lamont was born and raised in Long island, New York. While attending Briarcliffe College in 2006, he started his career in the telecom industry as a customer service representative at Cablevision. After working his way up to Supervisor in 2008 he moved to Tampa, Florida in 2010. He worked in various support/sales roles for Brighthouse/Spectrum from 2010-2018. After making Elite Sales Club from 2015-2017, he decided to start MetConnect in 2018.
Courtney was born and raised in Palm Harbor, Florida. She played collegiate softball and received her degree in Child Psychology from Mount Olive College in 2008. Courtney worked as a Child and Family Consultant before joining MetConnect in July 2021. Courtney’s greatest joy is helping others. It is impossible to not feel great when you do good for other people.
Director – Strategic Resourcing
Ian Gonzalez was born and raised in Ecuador, is an experienced marketing specialist driven by his desire to accomplish his goals while doing what he loves. As a marketing consultant, Ian joined MetConnect in 2022. He takes pride in his work ethic and the results that come with it.
Director of Operations
Rick Morales was born and raised in Boston, MA, where he also attended college at Salem State College in 1997. After college Rick became a Director of YMCA’s in multiple states. Rick has managed Sales, support, and training and has gained a great deal of Customer Service experience over the last 20 years. Rick joined MetConnect in the beginning 2021.
